Vessels (soft) is included in the exhibition
Stop and Breathe
Carol Corey Fine Art, Kent CT
through December 22, 2024

My drawing Study for After Cole: The Oxbow, part of the RISD permanent collection, is on view in Art and Design from 1900 to Now in the section "Poetry of Daily Life"

"Chores, rituals, life cycles, and relationships with family and friends are explored in these quiet, intimate works. From the initial conception of this section in 2022, themes of fragility, safety, and resilience have evolved to include ruminations on vulnerability, language, and embodiment. The works here suggest the dreamlike wonder of everyday life, as well as its fleeting nature. Employing a wide range of media, these artists used the nuanced physicality of their materials to heighten how we might read these works."
